Wodyetia Bifurcata Seeds - Queensland Foxtail Palm
5 Large Seeds
The Foxtail Palm - Wodyetia Bifurcata - is a native of North Quensland, with a smooth, thin, grey to white trunk.
Long plumose leaves around 2 to 3 meters in length in a shape of a fox’s tail, form in a crown. The crownshaft of the foxtail palm is light to bright green and slightly swollen at the base, and grows a stalk with white flowers when mature, followed by large olive green, later turning orange fruits, with the 5 cm egg shaped, beautifully intricately patterned seeds inside.
The species propagates readily in cultivation and this ultimately reduced the pressure on the wild population. It has become widely distributed across the world, being progressively planted out as one of the "world's most popular" palms.
Grows to a height of about 10 meters (30 ft).
