Watermelon 'Sugar Baby' - Citrullus lanatus
Watermelon is a scrambling vine-like plant originally from southern Africa.
The watermelon fruit is loosely considered a type of melon, and has a smooth exterior rind (green, yellow and sometimes white) and a juicy, sweet interior flesh.
The cultivar 'Sugar Baby' is a very sweet variety with bright red coloured flesh, and dark green skins, with relatively small fruits to around 20 cm in diameter, and average fruit weight of around 2.5 kg.
