Agave Chrysantha
Golden Flowered Centuary Flower

10 Seeds

This  slow-growing agave, native to central Arizona, is pollinated in the wild by bats and large bees, usually at night! Golden-yellow flowers have a “ripening fruit” odour which attracts pollinators both during the day and at night. The flower is the main distinction between this agave and A. palmeri.

Leaves range from pale grey/green to a yellowish or blueish green. Rosettes can reach to approximately 1m tall and up to 1.8m across.

Leaves are edged with several sharp spines - careful around this one!

Minimum recommended Temperature around 5°C.
