Strelitzia Nicolai - White Bird of Paradise Flower

The extraordinary looking flowers of the well known 'Bird Of Paradise' plant look like long bird beaks with orange wings attached to them! However, S.Nicolai has white flowers instead of orange.
The grey green paddle shaped leaves grow to around 1.50 m in length with 2 meter leaf stalks. Will form clumps over time. Plenty of space is needed for growth as these will reach a height of around 10 m.
A native of South Africa, this plant can tolerate cool temperatures but should be protected from frost and freezing conditions.
Minimum recomended temperature 10°C.
