Sinningia Douglasii - Caudex Forming Succulent
This very unusual epiphytic plant from the rain forests of Brazil has a globular overground tuber 6 to 10cm in diameter from which the fleshly almost hairless leaves will grow during the spring and summer growing months. Bright pink but short lived tubular flowers will appear during spring. These are short lived, but mature plants can give many many flower stalks
In the winter period, the plant will loose its leaves and go dormant, until the next spring when a new set of leaves will appear.
Grows to a height of around 30 cm. Frost tender, keep above 10°C.
