Sarracenia Purpurea v Purpurea
Carnivorous Pitcher Plant
This fantastic Sarracenia variety is Native to the south east of America, being most abundant in Florida and Southern Georgia
Our plants are seed grown, and 5 years old. Limited quantity!
The Pitchers are arranged in a rosette, and grow at an angle outwards from the center of the plant. The tops of these plants are open unlike other Sarracenias and often fill with rainwater, for some reason woodlice seem to be particularly attracted to mine to the point where the pitchers are so full they can crawl out!
In strong light the pitchers turn a maroon red colour. Use only rainwater, tap water in emergencies only!
Fully hardy to -15°C
