Roystonea Regia - Royal Palm
A native of Cuba, the Royal Palm is a tall grower, with a sturdy base often thicker at the bottom than at the top. Arching leaf fronds grow up to 3 meters in length, with many narrow linear mid green leaflets, and can grow to a height of around 25m.
In summer 1 meter long pannicles of cream white cup shaped flowers are produced.
Frost tender, minimum reccomended temperature around 10°C.
