Pinus Patula - Mexican Weeping Pine
Pinus Patula, or commonly known as the Mexican Weeping Pine, is as its name suggests a native to Central Mexico.
It is a loosely conical tree with reddish brown scaly bark, with hanging narrow coniferous, blue/green leaves, 15 to 30 cm long. The lower portions of the leaves are often a lighter green.
Grows to a height of around 15-20 meters and a spread of around 6-10 meters.
Frost tender when young, but generally hardy down to around -5°C
