Physalis Peruviana - Cape Gooseberry
Physalis Peruviana is the commonly known plant producing the commercially sold and edible Cape Gooseberries, or simply known as Physalis.
It is a a vigorous growing perennial, native to Eastern Asia and Japan, with oval, to diamond shaped foliage, it will produce small cream coloured flowers, followed by the typical bright orange berries, encased in its papery bright orange lanterns.
Grows to a height of around 60cm and a spread of around 90cm.
Fully hardy to -15°C and under.
