Native across tropical and subtropical Asia, this shrub can reach up to 2m tall. Leaves are compounds, with three leaflets each, ovate, one larger than the others with a somewhat hairy surface, up to 6cm long.
Flowers grow in a chain, surrounded by leaflike bracts. Flowers are white, similar to pea flowers in structure, only around 5mm long. The flowering chains can reach up to 25cm long.
