Pachypodium Mikea - Madagascar Pachycaul
Pachypodium Mikea is a native to Madagascar, found near Toliara on the south west coastal areas of spiney forest.
The swollen stem can grow to 35 centimetres or more in diameter, and reach a height of six metres, and is covered with groups of 2 spines. The large flowers are white with a yellow throat.
A must have plant for the succulent collection.
Likes full sun, a well drained soil, and left dry in the winter, when it will shed its leaves. Keep above 10°C.
