A smaller specimen, this banana can still reach heights of up to 5m tall and has a green-yellow slender trunk. Undersides of the leaves are a maroon/light purple, giving it an extra splash of colour.
Bananas appear in heads of 14-16, up to 20cm long. Used as an ingredient in Thai cuisine, these beautiful blue bananas can also be eaten as-is.
Requires well-drained soil and at least partial shade to be comfortable.
Hardy down to -15C.
