South African Mesembryanthemum
Jordaaniella Spongiosa is a low growing, spreading mesembryanthemum succulent, native to Southern Africa.
Growing up to 15 cm in height it is a succulent, in clumps, with small elongated fleshy leaves 5-10cm long, forming large mats.
Large bright coppery orange daisy like flowers are produced on mature plants from July to August, opening around noon. It occurs mainly on loose coastal sands in a winter rainfall area.
A well drained soil is recommended.
