Leucospermum Cordifolium ' Yellow '
Leucospermum Cordifolium is an evergreen shrub native to Southern Africa.
The leaves are spirally arranged, tough and leathery, up to 12 cm long and 3 cm wide, with a serrated margin at the tips.
The flowers are produced in dense inflorescences, this variety produces bright orange ones!
It is closely related in evolution and appearance to the Australian genus Banksia. Relatively short lived in the garden, on average lasting about eight years.
Grows to around to 0.5-5 m tall.
Plant in well-drained, acidic soil, along with full sun to ensure a plenty of blooms. It is drought tolerant and cold Tolerant to about -3°C.
