Native in Australia, particularly Queensland and New South Wales, this semi-deciduous tree can reach up to 25m tall with a trunk diameter of around 45cm. Bark is grey, somewhat rough, with leaves growing toward the end of branches in clusters. Leaves are obovate, glossy and mid-green in colour, up to 15cm long.

The highly scented flowers can reach up to 4cm in diameter, initially all white, with female flowers turning yellow over a period of a few days. Blooms appear in early spring.

Frost tender, keep above 0°C at all times.
