A native to South America's tropical rainforests, this perennial is grown around the world as a houseplant. Reaches up to 90cm tall. Leaves can reach up to 25cm long, wide but pointed at the end, dark green and glossy with attractive cream to pink coloured 'stripes'. The underside of the leaves are a deep purple.

Extremely frost tender. Keep above 15°C at all times.
