A twining climber from Australia, has slender hairy stems, becoming dense and tangled with age, with 15 cm long oval foliage.
From spring to summer, dark red 4 to 5 cm flowers with large lipped petals - similar to lobster claw flowers - are produced from the leaf axils along the stem.
Can grow to 3 meters high if given the climbing room.
Minimum temperature for this plant is around 5°C
