Anthyllis Vulneraria - Woundwort / Kidney Vetch
Native across the British Isles, mainland Europe and common across the Mediterranean, this perennial wildflower typically reaches up to around 15-20cm tall. Leaves are somewhat hairy on the underside, compound, growing in clumps. Flowers grow at the head of an upright stalk, spherical in shape and around 2cm across. The petals are usually yellow, but can range to orange and reddish in colour.
All parts of the plant have been used historically to treat medical conditions such as stomach issues and wounds. Please contact a GP before using medicinally.
Hardy to -20°C.
