10 seeds
Gossypium Hirsutum is probably one of the planets most useful resource. Around 95% of the worlds production of cotton comes from this species of Gossypium, and has been cultivated as a crop for thousands of years.
Its an annual upright shrub, originally native to Central America, but in warm climates it can be grown as a biennial or short lived perennial, with widely lobed leaves and summer flowering yellow blooms, followed by 4 cm long fruits with 3 to 5 cells, each containing copious amounts of fuzzy cotton surrounding the seeds.
A true World Wonder!
Grows to a height of around 1 to 1.5 meters tall.
