'Alpine Sea Holly'
A European native, Alpine Sea Holly is a rosette forming herbaceous perennial, with heart shaped, spiny toothed around 8 to 15 cm long, appearing mid green at the base.
Towards the top of the plant, leaves and flowers take on a steely blue colouration.
From midsummer to early Autumn, umbels of flowers appear on the branches to around 4 cm long, with soft spiny bracts to around 6 cm long.
Grows to around 70 cm high when in flower and a spread of around 50 cm.
Attractive to bees.
Fully Hardy to -15°C.
