Cyrtostachys renda is a palm native to Malaysia, Borneo and Thailand. It is a slender palm, growing with multiple stems with a bright red crown and leaf sheath. The Palm gets its common name from this red sheath which is the same colour as letter sealing wax, used to seal letters many years ago.

Because of this unusual colouration, it is a popular and highly sought after palm.

This current batch of seeds are FRESH and stored refrigerated, and not dried. Dried seeds can take at least 9 months to germinate, fresh seeds should take 1 to 3 months for germination.

Grows to a maximum height of around 16 meters.

Minimum temperature around 5°C.
