Salvia Officinalis - Garden Sage
Salvia Officinalis is a perennial evergreen subshrub native to the Mediterranean region, with woody stems, grey green leaves, and blue to purplish flowers.
It has a long history of medicinal and culinary use, and has a savory, slightly peppery flavour, and appears in many European cuisines, notably Italian, Balkan and Middle Eastern cookery.
A must have for the herb garden!
Grows to a height and spread of around 60 cm
Fully hardy to -15°C and under.
