Cornus Sanguinea - Common Dogwood

50 Seeds

Native across Europe and western Asia, this shrub typically reaches up to around 2m tall with attractive foliage, usually grown as an ornamental.

The bark of the shrug is grey and smooth, with straight twigs sometimes reddish in colour. Leaves are oval shaped, around 6cm long, and curved veins. Attractively green, leaves turn red before falling during the autumn months.

White flowers are hermaphroditic and small, produced in clusters, with only four petals, produced from mid to late summer. Highly attractives to bees, birds and butterflies!

Fully hardy down to -15°C.
