Chorizema Diversifolium - Climbing Flame Pea

Native to Western Australia, this climbing vine is better known as the Flame Pea for its brightly coloured flowers. A member of the pea family, vines can reach between 40-120cm long with delicate, slightly hairy stems. Leaves are up to 10cm long, lanceolate in shape, alternate on the stem.
The eye-catching flowers bloom from late summer onwards, with a yellow-orange calyx and darker orange to red 'tongue'. Flowers are 1-2cm in diameter.
Frost tender, keep above 5°C.
