Polaskia Chichipe - Chichipe Cactus
A columnar cactus native to central Mexico, the Chichipe can reach up to 5m tall, with branches typically growing from the top of the cactus. Stems are an attractive green, reaching up to 2m wide, with up to 12 shallow ribs which often colour red in the winter months. The ribs are decorated with small clusters of spines, with the longest around 5cm long, grey and needle-shaped.
Flowers are small, trumpet shaped, and white to yellowish in colour, blooming from March-June during both the day and the night.
Very frost sensitive, should be kept above 10°C at all times.
