Native to Brazil and Venezuela, the most remarkable part of M Neryi is its cephalium, a bristly structure that grows on the top of the plant that begins to grow when maturity is reached.
Challenging to grow in cultivation, yet rewarding!
A flatter cactus that can reach up to 18cm tall with up to 13 spined ribs. Flowers are pink-purple and red, and the orange-red cephalium can reach up to 10cm.
Minimum temperature no less than 10C as it can be severely damaged by lower temperatures. Requires regular watering as a result of its tropical origins, but careful not to overwater. Does not need feeding in winter.
