Arctostaphylos Uva-ursi - Common Bearberry / Kinnikinnick
The Bearberry, is a low growing intricately branched often mat forming shrub, native to North America and North Eurasia.
It has small leathery dark green leaves around 2 to 4 cm long, with small pink tinted, white flowers in short racemes, followed by spherical bright red fruit in Autumn.
Historicaly has been used as a medicinal plant.
Grows to a height of around 10 cm and a spread of up to 50 cm.
Fully hardy to -15°C and under.
