Hedychium Gracile - Tiny White Ginger
Hedychium Gracile, known as the Tiny White Ginger, is a native to East Asia and India.
It is a medium sized plant with waxy, grey-green strap like leaves, topped with dense spikes of sweetly fragrant, pure white showy flowers with a long protuding stamen, flowering from late summer onwards with blooms until early Autumn.
It is a ginger found growing in mountain grass lands and forest edges, preferring some shade from full sun for part of the day growing in a rich, moist soil.
Grows to a height of around 60 cm to 1 meter.
Semi Hardy down to around -5°C.
