Annona Squamosa is a small, multi branched tree possibly native to the tropical Americas and West Indies but its exact origins are unknown due to its widespread cultivation across the world. It produces large white, sweet fleshed fruits, known as Sugar or Custard Apples to around 10cm in diameter, with a bumpy mid green surface. It can start fruiting from as little as 2 or 3 years from seed.
It grows to a height of around 4 to 8 meters.
A truly topical species, prefers winter temperatures above 15 °C, under 10°C it will start to drop its leaves.
