Adansonia Fony - Baobab Tree - Excellent Bonsai Candidate
This Madagascan tree, also known as the Baobab or 'Upside Down Tree' due to the fact that its form makes it appear as if the roots are in the air instead of the branches!
Growing up to 4 or 5 meters, it has a smooth grey bark, with a thick cylindrical trunk, constricted at the top, where the irregularly shaped crown grows from. Flowers are bright yellow to orange yellow.
Keep dry in winter.
An excellent subject for bonsai growers.
